This course is designed to help you get up and running with Excel quickly and efficiently. Even if you have used Excel for years but never learned the fundamentals of good spreadsheet design, this course will get you on track in that direction. This course is designed to build the foundation to becoming an Excel formula expert. Our focus will be on design techniques that should be used when creating formulas. Excel has over 500 functions, and among those, Defined Names is one of the top choices in creating formulas that make your spreadsheets work better for you. After understanding what they are and how to properly create Defined Names, you will wonder how you managed without them for so long. You will learn how to use Defined Names and Excel Tables as an important and fundamental part of EVERY spreadsheet. You will learn techniques that most advanced users don’t implement in their spreadsheets but should. 

In this course, we will focus on Text functions and Date and Time functions. Want to automatically update the date and time on your spreadsheet? Or pick text strings from other cells to automatically copy and update to a different cell? You will learn how to incorporate text, date and time functions in your spreadsheet that will make data entry a breeze. 

Excel has over 500 functions that are built-in and ready to use. You just have to figure out which one to use and when. Integrating functions into each and every one of your spreadsheets not only improves efficiency, it also makes your task easier to execute. In this webinar, we will focus on Logical, Information and Lookup & Reference functions.

In this course, we will focus on Financial, Statistical and Math functions. In the Financial functions section, you will learn how to use the financial functions to build better amortization schedules. In the Statistical and Math functions sections, you will learn how to use various statistical functions to analyze your data. Depending on your version, Excel has over 500 functions already built in and ready to use. How many of those do you incorporate into your spreadsheets? You will learn some powerful functions that will take your calculating power to the next level. 

In this course, we will focus on debugging and troubleshooting complex formulas. You will learn various techniques that will assist you in creating complex compound formulas. You will also learn methods to resolve issues when you receive errors. Do you dread that annoying ERROR! message popping up on your spreadsheets? Tired of using the same long, elaborate formulas when you could be using Excel’s built-in formulas? Then this class is for you! This session will also discuss Excel’s nine built-in error-checking options and then demonstrate different approaches to error resolution. We will also review techniques to resolve rounding errors. This session is presented using Excel 2013. Regardless of the version you are using, all concepts covered in this course apply to all versions of Excel.   

In this course, the focus is on proofing and auditing your spreadsheets. You will learn how to build spreadsheets that validate the accuracy of your calculations and ways to use the Data Validation feature to substantiate data entry. You will also learn techniques to cross-foot your data to ensure accuracy as well as how to use the various Excel Auditing tools. 

This course will show you how to use Excel’s charting and formatting features to present financial data to a non-financial audience. As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” People tend to better understand the point when visuals are used. We will explore the many capabilities of presenting data without showing rows and rows or columns and columns of data. Help your audience visualize the meaning of the data, whether it is a trend, an exception, a distribution or a good vs. a bad relationship.

In this course, you will learn how to build robust dashboards for analyzing key metrics in Excel. We will begin with some dashboard design guidelines, such as understanding your audience and identifying necessary metrics. Then we will work through importing data, setting up calculated fields and columns, and creating key performance indicators (KPIs) for the dashboards. Most business professionals use Excel to help them make decisions about their data. Over the years, Excel has added MANY new features and functionality, yet most people still use it the same way they first learned it. Many of the features were added to Excel to enhance your ability to create spreadsheets more efficiently and with more accuracy. However, if you aren’t aware of these new features, how can you use them?

This class will focus on walking through each ribbon (menu) to explain the capability of various features in Excel. It is a great overview for both new and advanced Excel users to make sure you know all the capabilities of Excel. You may have seen many of the features but had no idea what they could do for you. This class will help you to understand these features and determine how you might take advantage of their capabilities.

Forms

This course will teach you everything you need to know in order to use the Office 365 Forms app to create fillable online forms and surveys. You will learn how to create a form, make it available for respondents and how to analyze the form responses at a summary and detail level.

OneDrive

This course will provide an orientation to the OneDrive for Business (ODFB) app within Office 365. Due to the fact that OneDrive is actually embedded into SharePoint, the two apps have many overlapping features. We will focus specifically on the OneDrive interface and features set for both the browser app and the mobile (Android & iOS) apps. 

This course will review and demonstrate all of the features of OneDrive that are available for you to create, manage and share your files. Using OneDrive as a cloud-based storage platform that is integral to the Office 365 ecosystem will allow you to optimize the value you receive from your Office 365 subscription investment.

This course rounds out our series of OneDrive courses by focusing on some of the advanced features that you should be familiar with in order to properly plan and manage your OneDrive deployment. We will explain how to synchronize your OneDrive files to local storage, how to configure the file version history feature and how to establish your global OneDrive settings.

OneNote

This course is the foundation for our OneNote series of courses. OneNote is one of the most practical applications Microsoft has ever developed. It is simple to use and has a multitude of practical uses in any organization. We will introduce you to the OneNote interface and feature set across all of the application’s platforms.

This course will begin with a review of the things you should consider in developing your OneNote notebook strategy. We will then review a step-by-step process for creating a notebook.

This course will provide a review and demonstration of all of the various types of content that you can add to OneNote, including files, hyperlinks, multimedia and more.

This course will focus on how you can use OneNote in a shared environment to collaborate with others. You will learn how to grant access to your notebooks as well as how to share select content only.

This course focuses on how you can use the “tagging” feature of OneNote to track and organize OneNote content with similar attributes that may be stored across your entire OneNote library. We will also take a deep dive look at how to use all of the search features of OneNote.

Outlook

This course is intended to be the first in a series of Outlook courses we offer in our course library. It provides an introductory orientation to the three Outlook apps that are part of the Office 365 ecosystem: Outlook Desktop, Outlook Mobile and Outlook Online. 

We will provide a brief orientation to the interface and features of each of the three applications.

This course will teach you how to use each and every feature and function of the Outlook 365 Desktop, Mobile and Online applications for composing email messages. There are a lot more features here than meets the eye. Learning about them can save you time and help you to compose more effective email messages.

This course will teach you every feature and function available in the Outlook email application to help you manage your incoming email.

This course will teach you everything there is to know about using folders in Outlook for managing your email, contacts and tasks. You will learn how to take advantage of the “special” folders like Junk, Search, RSS and more.

This course will teach you how to streamline the processing of your email by automating redundant tasks with “rules” and “quick steps.” These are two of the most practical features Outlook offers to help you save time.

This course will teach you how to effectively use the “categories” feature in Outlook to organize your email, calendar appointments, contacts and tasks. When you use this feature, you can sort, search and display items by category to help filter through the clutter quickly.

This course will teach you how to take advantage of the ability to create and customize multiple ways to view your Outlook data. This gives you the benefit of quickly viewing only the content that is pertinent in a given situation and eliminating all the other clutter.

This course will teach you how to use all the features and functions of the Outlook Online app. Many of the features presented in this course are covered in other courses in our Outlook series at a much deeper level. This course is deigned to provide a concise, yet complete look at all the features in the online app.

This course will teach you how to use the features and functions of the Outlook mobile apps for both the iOS and Android platforms. We will cover the Email, Calendar, People and Tasks applications. We will also provide an overview of the Mobile Device Management (MDM) functionality

Planner

This course will teach you everything you need to know to begin using the Planner app to organize and manage your individual and team projects. We will review the Planner app interface and features, create a plan with multiple tasks and demonstrate how to use the Planner app features to analyze and manage the plan status.

PowerPoint

In this course, you will learn how to create professional-looking presentations that clearly deliver your message to your audience. You will see a step-by-step guide for building a presentation, including a look into how the PowerPoint interface works. We will also dive into topics such as using themes and layouts; adding graphics, photos and other objects to engage the viewer; and tips & tricks for creatively delivering your PowerPoint presentation.

Learn how to leverage the more advanced features of PowerPoint to take your presentations to the next level. We will cover slide transitions and animations as well as embedding audio and video content into your presentations. We will also discuss how to leverage the full capability of SmartArt to make your presentations pop.

You will learn how to customize the master layouts to visually improve your presentation by creating a standard custom look. We will discuss how to build your own theme and slide layout templates. Once your presentation is complete, we will take you through advanced slideshow presentation techniques. Be prepared to wow your audiences!

SharePoint

This course is deigned to teach you how to use the basic features of the SharePoint Online app to create SharePoint sites to organize your cloud based file storage and custom lists. We will review the step by step process for creating a SharePoint site, managing your files and entering, editing and viewing SharePoint lists for to do tracking and other list applications. We will also explain and demonstrate the nature of the deep integration between the Teams and SharePoint apps.

This course is designed to teach you how to use all of the features of the SharePoint document library app to store and manage your shared files. You will learn how to create a document library from scratch. We will review how to customize the data you want to track for your document / file library, as well as customizing the views used to display your document / file lists. 

This course is designed to show you how to create and use a customized list to track virtually any  information: task tracking, service & repair requests, contacts, schedules, etc. We will review all of the list customization features including the various column types available such as dates, values, drop down lists and more.  We will also review how to create custom views to display your lists with specific content, filters and sort orders.

Teams

This course is designed as the first in our series of courses on the powerful Teams app. Teams is positioned to be the central hub of all the Office 365 apps. It provides a direct gateway to all of your Office 365 data and lets you work throughout the day from one central app. This course will provide you with an initial orientation to the three different Teams apps: Desktop, Mobile and Browser. 

This course is deigned to teach you all of the “Chat” app features within Teams, from A to Z. It provides a good foundation in the “conversation” basics which will apply throughout all of the Teams courses. 

This course will show you how to tap into the full potential of the Teams app for online communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing. Using teams to record and manage conversations and share files will improve the communication and efficiency in your office exponentially. 

One of the most important steps in the Office 365 deployment process is to make sure you have a solid plan for how you want to organize your Teams and Channels. Failure to plan for this properly can result in chaos. This course will explain how to properly set up your Teams & Channels structure and best practices. 

In order to tap into the full potential of the Teams app,  you will want to create direct connections to specific files and other apps. This will allow you to work in Teams throughout the day and quickly retrieve files or access other apps. This course will demonstrate how to set this up.

One of the most valuable features of the Teams app is the ability to launch an online meeting instantly from within the app. This capability will increase the quality and efficiency of your communication and collaboration exponentially. Online meetings can include audio, video and screen sharing. You will learn how to use all the Meetings features and functions in this course.

Word

During this course you will learn the core features and tools that will improve your efficiency and productivity when using Word. This session will emphasize creating, editing, formatting and printing documents using real-world business examples. We will take you through the logical progression of document creation in order to build a STRONG base-level knowledge of how to utilize Word to its fullest potential.
